Offering Presence
The Therapist
I am authentically me- a nature freak, lover of poetry, adventurist, parent, and deeply in love with exploring all aspects of our humanness. I am fascinated by the human experience. I am interested in holding space and discovering the lessons, hardships, triumphs, joys, trauma, and pains that we face. I am here to be there with you through it. I invite you to explore with me your deepest needs, your suffering, your hopes, and dreams so that I can assist you in your personal evolution of blooming into your intended desires for yourself and relationship with your life and others. I am here to explore and integrate our shadows so that we can find and embody a place of wholeness.
My vocation is interwoven to my own growth and fullest embodiment of self as well as supporting others on their own personal journey to healing and authenticity. I am committed to the pursuit of knowledge in psychotherapy and all the fields in harmony and related to growth and embodiment.
I received my Bachelor’s degree in Human Ecology: Relationships, Commitment, and Responsibility at UC Santa Cruz. The courses were a blend of philosophy, psychology, and community studies. Afterwards, I spent seven years traveling and learning from other cultures. Within that time I studied Advaita Vedanta, Cranialsacral Therapy, Yoga, Massage, Watsu, Oil Painting, Life Coaching, and more.
I am currently an LMFT. I received my Master's degree at California Institute of Integral Studies in Integral Counseling.
The Work
Integrative Holistic Psychotherapy affirms the inherent value of an individual. It blends, behavioral, physical, cognitive, spiritual, and psychosocial dimensions of life. A person becomes attuned to their emotions, thoughts, physical experiences, and spiritual understandings. Through the integrative process one could explore disowned, unaware, or unresolved parts of oneself and make them part of a whole cohesive personality. This therapy hopes to reduce defense mechanisms and inspire spontaneity to relate with people and the world with the entirety of self. Allowing and receptive to the entirety of their truth, within the freshness of each moment without preconceived notions. This deeper understanding of the whole creates a greater self-awareness, self-acceptance, personal empowerment and a higher self-esteem.
Integrative Psychotherapy considers many forms of Therapy. From Psychodynamic, Humanistic, Gestalt, Trauma Informed, Client Centered, Sex Therapy, Dream Inquiry, Ecopsychology, Expressive Therapy etc.
